Please note that a level O (Orientation to
Coaching) are organised by QLAA through the season. We
will sponsor you to do that course provided that you agree
to participate in coaching at our centre for 2 years.
Please see any of the committee if you
are interested in doing this or another coaching course.
At Kenmore
the parents are generally the coaches, however for specialist
coaching in particular areas see either :
Tony Castley : Level 1
and/or Alex Young
Coaching
This year we are trying incorporating coaching
sessions into the program rather than having separate coaching.
In this way we hope to give more of the kids a basic grasp
of the fundamentals. This means that in some events there
may be no competition or recorded performances, instead the
kids will do drills and practice technique.
For keen athletes extra coaching may be available
during the week. You can obtain information by talking to
Paul or Louise.
External coaching is available through other
Little Athletics clubs or Athletic centres such as UQ Sport.
Toowong Harriers hold coaching sessions during the week
- see their website for details : http://www.sites.ourbrisbane.com/toowongathletics/
